All is Bright - A Yorkshire
Lad’s Christmas
Father Christmas Suppers
According to the old man in Chapter 4, Father Christmas (or Santa) likes
you to leave different things out for his Christmas Eve supper, depending
on the weather. Here’s his preferred menu:
If it’s mild – A glass of
milk and three digestive biscuits.
If it’s windy – A glass
of whisky and a small pork pie.
If it’s raining – A glass
of sherry and three chocolate biscuits.
If it’s foggy – A glass
of port and a sausage roll.
If it’s frosty – A glass
of rum, three crackers and a knob of cheese.
If it’s snowing – A glass
of brandy, a sausage roll, and three nice chocolate biscuits.
